Posts are what fail
Almost every leaning fence we replace comes down to posts that were not set deep enough, or were set in a hole that holds water. We dig below frost depth, set posts in concrete with a gravel base so water drains rather than sitting against the post, and crown the top of the footing to shed water away.
On slopes we step or rack panels properly rather than leaving a wedge of daylight underneath.

Before anything is dug we confirm the property line, check setback and height rules for your jurisdiction, and get utilities located. Height limits differ between front and rear yards in most Spokane-area codes, and HOAs frequently have their own rules on material and colour.
